He began his career in balls, with his father’s ensenble. His father was the accordion and keyboard player Geraldo Azevedo. Proveta. Proveta was clarinetista of the Sylvio Mazzucca`s Orchestra and toured Brazil with the Ray Coniff orchestra. Leader and founder of the Mantiqueira Band, one of the main group of instrumentalists in Brazil, he participated, together with Osesp, in three projects of concerts at Sala São Paulo and in a tour of the United States, which resulted in two CDs of Brazilian popular music.As a clarinetist, sax player and arranger, he is one of th most requested instrumentalists of the country, having taken part in hundreds of recordings of renowned Brazilian artists. With the Mantiqueira Band he was nominated for Grammy in 1998 in the Best Jazz Latino Performance Category.
