BIOGRAPHY

Composer and maestro, he was ordained priest at the seminary of Mariana, town where he was organist of the Third Order of São Francisco of Penitence and chapel master of the cathedral. He also had an intense work in Vila Rica (now Ouro Preto) as the organist of the Third Order of Carmo between 1817 e 1824 and conducted the Opera Theatre choir and the orchestra.
